How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Introduction: Synergy, Brand identity and Cross Media Convergence all play a major role in the promoting of a product, in order to benefit the company to its full extent. Knowing this, I have applied this to all my products. Synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, this is effective in helping both organisations gain profit. Brand identity is making the brand recognisable by being consistent with the typography, iconography and colour scheme. I have demonstrated my brand identity through the production of my 3 products by keeping certain things the same. Cross media Convergence also has a huge impact on promotion. This is when two or more companies come together vertically or horizontally to gain access to bigger stars and a better distribution network for their films.

The first installment of Chucky was released in 1988, 'Child's play', since that release there has been 7 further films, the most recent, The Cult Of Chucky being released in 2017. The character of Chucky was created by the director Don Mancini and over the years the franchise has had multiple production companies including Universal Pictures, United Artists and Rogue. The first, second, and fourth films were box office successes with all of the films earning over $182 million worldwide. Moreover, revenues from sales of videos, DVDs, VOD and merchandise, the franchise has generated over $250 million. This shows the significance and their success in synergy and cross media convergence.
